Turkey Day is Finally Here!!!

 I'd like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah! Do you happen to know just how often the two holidays share the same day? I had to do a bit of detective work (read web search) and found an interesting tid-bit of information.

"The last time the confluence of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah happened was 1888. This year it occurs Nov. 28, which is the second night of the eight-day Hanukkah celebration.
The next time it will occur? Hold on to your dreidels: By some calculations, it won't be for another 79,043 years, thanks to disparities between the Hebrew and Gregorian calendars."

Pretty neat huh?

    Happy, Happy, Happy Thanksgiving Day gurlie! i just know what all you gave thanks for and i know how happy you are! your last few posts sound very happy as you settle in and finally realize - heck - this IS actually your life from now on! we get a bit of a break to read and learn new skills for the next couple of months but spring is right around the corner - we'll be back out in those gardens, growing as much food as possible in no time! i wish you and Mars all the best on this Thanksgiving Day! and i am thankful today for good friends who share their knowledge, skills and experience! thanks buddy!

      Oh girl you know me pretty well huh? True though, now that we've been at this a little bit it's starting to just become our new lives. For Mars it was love at first sight and he hit it running once we got here. Me? Well as you so sweetly said "this IS actually your life from now on" you hit the nail on the head!
