Greenhouse Space Saver DIY

I think I have come across one of the most clever and inexpensive ideas I've seen in years. You have to check this out!!!
Coach House Crafting on a budget: Greenhouse space saver plus milk carton recycle

Isn't that cool???? Inexpensive and most anyone could do it. I could start plants in it or even use it to grow my herbs in!  Hmmm... I'm going to have to show this one to Mars and see if we can rustle up some wood for one.

  1. Looks like a great idea. I suppose you could mount lighting on it somewhere. Would help if it had frames between each row for lighting.

  2. Sci - i think i shared this with you before but go to instructables.com - they have some of the coolest space-saving greenhouse thingies i have ever seen. one of them uses a shoe hanger thing - you know the plastic things that you hang on doors with 12 separate compartments for shoes? anyway, one lady put little holes in each compartment, filled it with dirt and was growing lettuce in each. i thought that was awesome! anyway, i'm blathering. just wanted to say i love that greenhouse thing too. be sure to check out instructables. lots of great stuff there!

  4. I LOVE that... and the thing is , it can work almost anywhere for space saving. I will show this to Senior, maybe he can make me one. Lord knows we go through enough milk cartons around here.

  5. What an excellent idea. I could find about 10 uses for that in my garage alone.

  6. Hi there

Glad you all liked my space saver. It was so simple and easy to make and you can always add the milk cartons as you go if you don't have quite enough straight away.
Leavesnbloom studio is guest posting me this week and I've done a whole new tutorial for this space saver to make it easier for people to make, plus a plant label tutorial from the remainder of the milk carton you don't need for the space saver.
