I learned a long time ago, while working at a popular breakfast spot, Stop stressing... Its just Bacon and Eggs... How bad can you mess that up?

Question For You
I've got a question for everyone. If you were to make a list of websites that you think are important for people to have, what would they be? What are some of your "go to" sites? For instance, one of the many sites I visit regularly is Survival Blog. What are some of yours? Please take a minute or two and let me know some of yours.

ReplyDeleteI find myself going to "The Tree of Liberty"( www.thetreeofliberty.com) for a well rounded source of news, survial skills and tips, recipes, tinfoil hat info., etc.....
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys, These are exactly the things I am looking for! Keep them coming!!!
ReplyDeleteMy 'net time is limited by a day job with a long commute and complicated by a labor-intensive country lifestyle (chores first, surfing later) so I take the 'cliff notes' approach to keeping current. My daily reads are on my blog roll (including Bacon & Eggs ...duh!) and Yeoldfurt's blogroll, Old Lightning. A handful of the sites on our two blogrolls overlap, but he carries a whole lot that I don't and vice versa. We always talk things over so I figure I'd better also read what HE's reading if I'm going to be able to hold up my end of the conversation.

I go o Mayberry's site and read most everything on his blogroll, including you. Outside of that, I do follow links and I check Jackie Clay's all the time :) ~ Cin ~
ReplyDeleteI have recently started going to http://www.americanpreppersnetwork.net/
ReplyDeleteand
http://ourcountryhaven.com/
which are both message boards with forums on various topics related to frugality and prepping. These are just a couple of my usual haunts other than my blog roll and following other's blog rolls when I have time.
Oh...I have been a member of ourcountryhaven.com for a long time and am on the admin team there...just wanted to clarify.

...when i have time i search others blogrolls,i generally add others to mine only after i visited them a while and developed a 'need to read' their writings...i always check 'recomendations' from other bloggers too, thru links and such...i've never deleted any,but some have came off my bloglist...i can still get them thru my dashboard...
ReplyDeleteFirst off I am glad to see other people have goats in their house besides me.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I have to give my own blog plug here. Modern Day Redneck blog is my go to place first. Then the rest of the time is spent reading everyone else. It is getting tough though. The more blogs I add to my list the more time I spend reading about others doing the work rather than me getting out of this chair and actually working. I have only been blogging for a year now and I think this is more addicting than the facebook games. That's funny right there.
I think Surviving in Argentina by ferfal is great.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.preparednesspro.com/blog/ By Kellene is a good one for using storage and rotating stock. While she is a mormon prepping she does have a "christian slant on why to prepare" Canning and putting rounds on target will make everyone happy. ferfal is what works in an urban setting and surviving an ongoing collapse. Fernando(ferfal) is dealing with a collapse in real time for over 10 years.
I kind of look at these folks as my mentors. 2 totally different mindsets yet both work day to day in different enviroments. I tweak and make both of their ideas work for me. Ithink most folks should check out both folks sites. I think you will find a lot of value with both.
