I've used cream in the past and I just love it. The problem is that it seems like I go through that much in 5-6 days. That makes it way out of my budget. Another thing I like about the DIY creamer is that I will be able to stock up on it when I find it on sale.<br />The real neat thing would be to find a local dairy and be able to afford raw milk and real cream. In th...I played around with making my own creamer. In the process discovered that if I use real cream in my coffee I use quite a bit less than if I used the flavored stuff. An extra half spoonfull of sugar in the coffee since the cream's not sweetened fixed that problem, and a drop or two of vanilla extract and presto. I saw this recipe though and just had to try it. <br /><br />Our old coffee maker doesn't make HOT coffee anymore, sort of warmish hot so I always zap my cup in the microwave anyway. This was an experiment but I just might switch over. It would probably be cheaper than the powdered creamer though. Like you, I've always put a TON of powdered creamer in my coffee. I'll go through 3 bottles (containers?) in a month. I'll have to see just how much I'll use of this new stuff. I sure do like it though.
